The Introduction to Aircraft Appraisal course is ME201AS (Machinery and Equipment Aircraft Specialty), the first of four courses on aircraft specific appraisals required as part of the Accredited Member (AM) or Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation awarded by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). The course will be taught by qualified College of Business faculty and industry professionals at the Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach campus. This course is designed to introduce participants to appropriate aircraft appraisal terminology, methods and concepts. The course also provides a foundation of principles of valuation and their applications to the appraisal of aircraft and aviation equipment. ME201AS will assist participants to broaden their skill set and enhance their career path and professional standing in aircraft appraisals, banking and finance and related fields.

  • Listen to expert guest speakers from the aviation industry on important topics relevant for aircraft appraisers
  • Gain hands on experience with aircraft assets during a maintenance facility visit
